Recently we had a parent ask, “Am I doing a good job in raising this young man, and what can I do better?” Today we wanted to share a basic checklist of things by which to evaluate and answer this question.
When I first heard about the notion of valuing both success and failure, I remember thinking, “Why would I ever want to value failure?” At that time in my life, I was very entrenched in the achievement culture.
Our most recent Biggest Job webinar was on ‘Principles over Rules.’ One of the questions that was asked was “At what age should my children come up with a set of principles?”
We caught up with Hyde-Bath alumnus Dexter Lockhart Jenks '10 from Gorham, Maine. After having discovered his unique potential for singing and songwriting at Hyde, he is now pursuing a career in the creative industries.
