Hyde-Woodstock v. Canterbury: 6-78

Hyde-Woodstock traveled across the state to Canterbury to wrestle in a tri-meet against Suffield Academy and the host school this past Saturday.  We opened up in a dual against Canterbury, and much of the inexperience was visible as one pin after another went up on the score board for Canterbury.  The level of effort in this first bout was nowhere near the potential our team has, but a few stars still shined.  Adam Carreau ’11 earned his first varsity win of the  season with a pin against his opponent at the 140lb weight class, and Jonathan Sanbar ’12 almost went the distance with his opponent at the 160lb weight class and gave everyone a very exciting match to watch.  After such a loss, we pulled together for a pep talk and this definitely led to a shift in momentum.
