Boys JV Basketball traveled down the road to Rectory on Friday to face their talented freshmen team.  The game was played in four eight-minute quarters, instead of two sixteen-minute halves.  Both teams came our strong, and neither team had an advantage in the first quarter, and at the end, the Wolfpack was down by 1 point, 16-17.  In the second quarter, Rectory kicked it up a notch and started taking control, quickly taking a 17 point lead but at the end of the quarter, the Wolfpack finished on a 6-0 run to end the quarter 23-34.  In the third quarter Rectory really started taking the lead and one of their player’s knocked down four 3-pointers in a row, and by the end of the third, Rectory had a 20 point lead.  In the fourth quarter, the Wolfpack didn’t give up and still played extremely well, even if the end result didn’t show it.  The final score was Rectory 74, Hyde 52.

Brian Sanz ’11 had a great game, hustling up and down the court, scoring 10 points, and getting a few steals.  Derek Kubitz ’11 played well, scoring his first 3 pointer of the season and finishing the game with 11 points. Evan Deinstag ’11 played well, having to guard one of their biggest kids, and played great defense throughout the game.
