Explosive First Half Lifts Wolfpack to Playoff Win

The Wolfpack connected on 17 of 32 field goals during a blistering first stanza, while turning the ball over a mere 4 times en route to 38-14 halftime lead. The balanced scoring of Ewart Guinier ‘10 (8 points), Jumah Sutton ‘11 (9 points), and Dion Richardson ‘10 (8 points) sparked the first half effort.

Hyde, winners of three in a row, finished the contest with a 62-41 victory over St. Thomas More in the semi-final round of the SENE tournament. Key contributions for the evening were - Richardson (16 points, 6-11 FG, 4-6 3FG, 6 rebounds, 6 assists), Mike Cannon ‘11 (11 rebounds), and Jumah Sutton (9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists).

The Wolf Pack return to action Monday in the SENE Finals against St. Andrews at Krebs Gymnasium in Woodstock. Game time is set for 4pm.

Sean grew up in Providence, Rhode Island and attended Hyde's SENE rival, the Wheeler School. At Wheeler Sean played baseball and basketball. He was a three-time SENE 1st team selection en route to becoming the school's all-time leading scorer with over 2,000 career points. Sean graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts where he majored in Literature with a minor in Education, and continued his basketball careeer. He left Wheaton as a 1,000 point scorer, the school's all-time leader in assists and steals, and a two-time all conference selection. He is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.
