Hi, I’m Caitlin Yablonski and I’m a Woodstock senior. I’m passionate about art because it lets me create something that reflects who I am or what I’m feeling in the moment. I love painting and drawing but I especially want to pursue the field of photography in art school because capturing images with a camera is endlessly fascinating to me. After college I would like to go into fashion. Some of my favorite artists are Georgia O’Keefe-I love the sensuous quality of her abstract flowers -and the French Impressionist Edgar Degas -I think his drawings of ballet dancers are amazing! Woodstock Visual Arts: Tom Tarricone
Hi, my name is Tom Tarricone and I’m a Woodstock senior. The thing that I love about drawing is that it gives me a chance to create from my imagination- it’s the perfect way to realize those images in my head. I love really getting into a piece, taking my time, and working at perfecting it. When I was younger I always loved to draw the scenery with crayons, so art is also a way for me to stay in touch with my younger self. Some of my favorite artists are Jean Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Leonardo DaVinci, and the filmmaker Tim Burton. These artists inspire me to use my creativity, and they help make me passionate about art.
I am applying to art school because I want to pursue my dream of owning my own clothing company —I want to develop both my business sense and my artistic skills. Please check out my portfolio below!
